The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Sen. Hope Uzodinma and other high-profile dignitaries are expected to grace the planned thank you maga rally in honour of President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
Magaji, who is also the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, made this disclosure in a press briefing in Lafia.
Magaji said that APC chairman, Prof. Yilwatda alongside other high ranking party members would formally receive new APC members into the party.
According to him, the over 15,000 mega thank you rally, which is scheduled for February 12, is borne out of the love that the people of this state have for President Tinubu and Gov. Sule, having been impacted by their good works.
“As the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, I started consultation with different groups, the Governor’s aides and heads of agencies, having reviewed the activities and the performances of President Tinubu to Nigerians, and particularly in Nasarawa State.
“And also the performance of our dear Governor, Abdullahi Sule, through the various reforms, the agenda of Mr President, especially with the removal of fuel subsidy, and the introduction of many other social interventions, ranging from student loans to infrastructure development across all sectors.
“It is important that we, the beneficiaries of the good works, particularly the inhabitants of Nasarawa State, should come together and say thank you to these two real gems, that is the way we can express our appreciation,” he said.
He explained that the people of like mind have reached a consensus to converge at the State Secretariat on Thursday to kick start the rally and end it at Lafia Square where they would be addressed.
Magaji, while highlighting achievements of the All Progressives Congress'(APC) administration, applauded Gov. Sule’s prudent management of the state’s resources.
“The state Secretariat where we are seated today, and the dualised Shendam Road were not available two years ago; the Lafia flyover and underpass, Akwanga underpass, Keffi and Karu flyovers weren’t here two years ago. It is good governance, and this good governance comes from the top – down,” he said.
The SSG also met with the directors in the state civil service and intimated them of the planned mega rally schedules for Thursday.
Speaking on behalf of the state civil servants, Ms Abigail Waya, Head of State Civil Service said that they were happy with the administration of Gov. Sule and President Tinubu and reaffirmed their total loyalty to their Government.
