It was a day of celebration on Sunday, August 12, 2018, as St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Umueleghele Isialangwa South LGA of Abia State hosted an illustrious son of the state, Dr. Alex Otti, on the occasion of their 2018 August meeting.
Unknown to Dr. Otti and his team, the people had been waiting to seize such great  opportunity to appreciate him for wiping their tears recently through the construction of the 5.5km Isieketa road, as women and youths trooped out in solidarity to welcome him.
A respected member of the Parish and the APGA House of Representatives Aspirant for Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency, Barr. Chukwudi-Oracle Nwala who effortlessly displayed the traits of both an orator and the fearless candour and courage of a clergy, while welcoming Dr. Otti, extolled his virtues and sterling qualities, maintaining that in spite of the presence of many high ranking elected and appointed government officials in the past and present from the area, yet nothing is on ground to show for it in Isialangwa South.
He reminded the people that the quality road project Dr. Otti attracted recently to the area, is a sign of many good things to come, and revealed that his love and association with Dr. Otti transcends his wealth, rather is predicated on his rare qualities which include his civility, meekness, and above all, his infectious intellectual endowments which he impacts on any serious person that comes in touch with him.
A humbled Otti thanked the church for their show of love and solidarity, and assured them that he and his team would continue to anchor their strength on the holy place of God, in spite of the ungodly machinations of those who desire the continuous decline of the State.
He urged them to remain steadfast, promising to rewrite their history for the better.
Dr. Otti made cash donations to the women wing of the church, and the parish as a whole to enable them take care of some of their needs.
Earlier, some respected members of APGA who accompanied Dr. Otti to the church including his running mate, Dr. (Mrs.) Uche Eme Uche, former ICAN President and the APGA Senatorial Aspirant for Abia South, Mr. Chidi Onyeukwu Ajaegbu, and three APGA House of Assembly members including Hon. Abraham Oba, Hon. Lukeman Ukara and Hon. Chijioke Nwachukwu had spoken and thanked the parish for their love and support, and urged them to remain committed in their Godly ideals aimed at turning around the fortunes of Isialangwa South and Abia State as a whole.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Father, Dr. Anthony Chukwuma later showered his blessings on Dr. Otti and members of his entourage.
