Former Executive Director of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, has congratulated Dr. Aliyu Bello on his emergence as the State Chairman of the party in Nasarawa State following the successful conclusion of the state congress held in Lafia.
In a statement issued shortly after the congress ratified Bello’s leadership, Dr. Shuaib described the re-election as a testament to the party’s confidence in Bello’s stewardship and a reflection of the will of the majority of APC members across the state.
“Dr. Aliyu Bello’s emergence at this critical juncture demonstrates the resilience of our party’s internal democratic processes,” Shuaib stated. “His leadership has consistently prioritized the welfare of our members and the advancement of the APC’s progressive agenda in Nasarawa State.”
The congress, which brought together delegates from across the 13 local government areas of the state, reaffirmed Bello’s position as the helmsman of the party.
Dr. Shuaib emphasized that Bello’s re-emergence provides the stability necessary for the APC to consolidate its gains in the state. He recalled Bello’s instrumental role in coordinating the party’s recent e-registration exercise, which significantly strengthened the party’s grassroots structure and membership database.
“The successful conduct of this congress sends a clear message that the APC in Nasarawa State is united and focused,” Shuaib added. “We must now channel this momentum into preparing for the events ahead, particularly as we look toward the 2027 general elections.”
The former NPHCDA director urged all party members to close ranks and support the newly ratified leadership. He warned that internal discord could only serve the interests of opposition parties, stressing that the APC’s strength lies in its ability to reconcile differences and present a united front to the electorate.
