Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri extended his comprehensive statewide tour to Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area, where he inspected the Mayo-Belwa Cottage Hospital and pledged to upgrade it to a General Hospital.
He also commissioned several notable projects, including the newly built international cattle market.
This visit forms part of a broader strategic initiative to visit all 21 local government areas, focusing on evaluating grassroots development, engaging with local stakeholders, and commissioning infrastructure projects.
The Chairman of Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area, Hon. Umar Nation Gubi, the Commissioner for Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. Hammajumba Gatugel, and Member of the House of Assembly, Mayo-Belwa, Hon. Musa Kallamu, among other stakeholders, commended Governor Fintiri’s emphasis on project implementation, highlighting that the development of high-quality infrastructure has considerably enhanced local morale.
The Governor was accompanied by SSG Hon. Auwal Tukur, Chief of Staff government house yola Dr. Edgar Amos, Commissioners, Advisers among top government officials.
