In continuation of the ongoing commissioning of completed projects and flagging off of new ones to mark the 3 years anniversary of Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu in office, his Kebbi State counterpart, governor, Dr Nasir Idris, Thursday commissioned Zawaiyya to Unguwar and Maidaji to Gwangwan Dikko road in Tambuwal Local Government area of Sokoto State.
The 14.5km road, executed at N4.53billion is said to be under the 9-Smart Innovative Agenda of Govermor Ahmed Aliyu.
Addressing the gathering, Kebbi state governor, Nasir Idris said he is happy with the developmental strides of governor Ahmed Aliyu, saying he is delivering good governance to the people of Sokoto state.
According to him, governor’s elected under the platform of of the All Progressive Congress (APC) are passionate about initiating and completing any project that will have positive impact on the lives of all and sundry.
Reacting to the constructed road project, the jubilant benefiting communities, said it will not only boost their economic activity but also allow for easy connectivity with others.
The Kebbi state governor further flagged off another 7.5km Kajiji to Sanyinnawal and 13.5km Madera, Darin Guru to Jabo road in Shagari Local Government area of the state.
Delivering speech at the flag off venue, Kebbi state governor, Dr Nasir Idris said his invitation to carry out such official assignments in Sokoto will further enhance the mutual relationship that exist between the two states.
Dr Nasir further admonished governor Ahmed Aliyu to sustain the tempo of delivering people oriented projects for the generality of the masses who voted him massively, adding he is confident from what he saw that a second term for Ahmed Aliyi is certain by God’s grace.
Earlier in his speech, Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu thanked his Ksbbi stays counterpart for honouring the invitation despite the short notice, adding that goes to demonstrate how united the two states are.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu further appreciate the sustained support of development partners which he said have and continue to play appreciable roles in the development trajectory of the state.
He further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing credible leadership to Nigerians, even as he assured of his continued support for all his people-oriented programmes and policies.
