Police in Nasarawa State have recorded yet another milestone in the crackdown on criminals across the state.
SP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement said: “Acting on credible intelligence, on 10/01/2026 at about 2200hrs, police operatives attached to the Command’s Anti-Robbery Section arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects, Kabiru Isah and Monday Bulus (both males), who had been on the Command’s wanted list for their involvement in several robbery operations across the State.
During the operation, one G3 rifle without serial number was recovered from the suspects as exhibit. A follow-up operation conducted today, Sunday, 11/01/2026, also led to the recovery of one pump-action rifle.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had entered Lafia and were lurking around Azuba Centre, a suburb of Lafia LGA, in a bid to carry out a criminal operation, not knowing that they were already under the surveillance of the police before nemesis caught up with them.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has commended the operatives for their professionalism and gallantry and has ordered a thorough investigation into the case. He further charged all officers and men of the Command to sustain the onslaught against crime and continue to deal decisively with criminals in the State.
The suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigation.
