The Wamba Youths Coalition has declared that Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, need not bother campaigning in Wamba Local Government Area, insisting that the electorate in the area have already resolved to vote massively for him in the forthcoming governorship election.
In a statement issued by the leadership of the coalition and signed by its Chairman, Umar Mohammed, the youth group described Senator Wadada as a politician whose antecedents speak louder than any campaign rally could, noting that his enviable track record as a grassroots politician who understands and feels the pulse of the common man has already won him the confidence of the people of Wamba. According to the coalition, the people of the local government have interacted with Wadada over the years and are convinced that his style of politics, rooted in service and closeness to the people, sets him apart from many others jostling for political relevance in the state.
The coalition further stated that Senator Wadada’s robust understanding of the peculiar needs and dynamics of Nasarawa State makes him the most prepared candidate to consolidate on the achievements already recorded by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule. It noted that his familiarity with the terrain, the people, and the developmental priorities of the state positions him to seamlessly build on the foundation laid by the outgoing governor without any learning curve, thereby guaranteeing continuity of good governance.
Beyond his grassroots appeal, the group also pointed to Senator Wadada’s wide network of local and international contacts as a critical asset that distinguishes him from other aspirants. It expressed confidence that these connections would translate into fresh investments for Nasarawa State, stimulate economic growth, create jobs for the teeming youth population, and further strengthen the socio-economic gains already achieved under Governor Sule’s leadership.
The Wamba Youths Coalition maintained that with such attributes, the outcome of the election in the local government has effectively been decided in Wadada’s favour, and that the senator should instead direct his campaign resources and time to other parts of the state where more persuasion may be required, if any. The group assured him of the total, unalloyed support of Wamba electorate come 2027.
